Here's a list of all page tags used throughout Metawiki, via Wikidot's native ≤75 tags support and - as necessary - the ≤256 pseudo-tags system, for a total of ≤331 tags per page.

Administrative Tags

These tags are not permitted to be added by anyone not part of Metawiki staff, though - with a few exceptions - are used on viewable/readable pages.

_Category Tags

These tags are used by Metawiki staff to definitively qualify/quantify certain pages. They are used solely with Wikidot's native tagging system, not the pseudo-tagging one.

• _admin: Admin-only page.
• _article: Wiki article.
• _cat-warn: Page has a Contents And Triggers warning.
• _component: Wiki component.
• _cult: Cultural analysis.
• _default: System tag for all non-TLC pages.
• _disambig: Wiki disambiguation.
• _explicit: Page covers explicitly violent, sexual, and/or distressing materials. Used in tandem with _cat-warn.
• _forum: System tag for forum pages.
• _fragment: Wiki page fragments.
• _fum: Free Use Media page.
• _gate: Used exclusively for Metawiki's Gate page.
• _hist: Historical analysis.
• _hub: Wiki hubpage.
• _infobox-template: Wiki infobox template.
• _interview: Interviews.
• _investigation: Investigative process page.
• _layout-template: Wiki page layout template.

"Work Needed" Tags

These tags are used for quality assurance purposes. They are used solely with Wikidot's native tagging system, not the pseudo-tagging one.

• _add-cat: page needs the CAT Warning component added promptly.
• _add-tags: page needs more tags added.
• _blur: some/all images on page need to be blurred.
• _cleanup-accessible: page requires clean-up for accessibility purposes.
• _cleanup-broken: page requires clean-up to fix/remove broken images, links, components, and/or Wikidot systems.
• _cleanup-cruft: page requires clean-up to combat page/section bloat, cruft, and/or irrelevant materials.
• _cleanup-layout: page's layout requires clean-up.
• _cleanup-legal: page requires clean-up to avert potential legal actions.
• _cleanup-safety: page requires clean-up for matters pertaining to user/reader safety.
• "cleanup-tags: page requires clean-up for tags, from fixing to full-on removal.
• _cleanup-tone: page requires clean-up to comply with TBAPOV.
• _cleanup-translation: page has translated materials that require clean-up, for the purposes of accuracy and comprehensibility.
• _delete-legal: page's materials inherently put Metawiki and its members at legal risk, and must be deleted as quickly as possible.
• _delete-safety: page's materials inherently put users/readers in danger, and must be deleted as quickly as possible.
• _delete-standards: page does not meet Metawiki standards on a fundamental level, and needs to be deleted promptly.
• _delete-troll: page was created by a malicious actor, and needs to be deleted promptly.
• _revert-vandal: page was vandalized by a malicious actor, and the edit(s) need to be reverted promptly.
• _verify: page sources need verification.

Protection Tags

These tags are used to indicate pages protected and/or unreadable/uneditable by non-staff members. They are used solely with Wikidot's native tagging system, not the pseudo-tagging one.

• _protected-indef: page is indefinitely protected from Metawiki members not part of staff. Only used as a last resort.
• _protected-temp: page is temporarily protected from Metawiki members not part of staff.
• _unlisted: page is technically viewable, but indefinitely unreadable, to any Metawiki member not part of staff. Only to be used in extenuating and/or pressing circumstances.

Creations Tags

These are tags used to specify aspects of a creation in th community.

Creation Author/Release Tags

These tags define how many creators are involved with a piece, and its method of distribution.

• co-created: Creation was made by at least two people.
• commercially-released: Creation was released on a commercial storefront.
• fanwork: Creation is a fanwork.
• free: Creation was released for free.
• mega-collab: Creation was made by at least six people.
• paid: Creation was released with a monetary cost.
• paywall: Creation is partially or fully paywalled.
• solo-created: Creation made solely by one person.

Creation Medium Tags

These tags define how a creation is presented medium-wise.

• 001-proposal: Creation is an SCP-001 proposal.
• animation: Creation is an animated work, from a simple .gif to a full-length feature.
• audio: Creation is an audio-exclusive work.
• book: Creation is a book, whether physical and/or electronic.
• canon: Creation is a canon setting.
• digital-game: Creation is a video/computer game.
• essay: Creation is an essay page.
• experiment-log: Creation is an experiment log page, usually (but not always) collaborative.
• film: Creation is a short or feature-length film.
• game: Creation is a physical and/or digital game.
• goi-format: Creation is a GOI format.
• guide: Creation is a guide page.
• hub-page: Creation is a hub page.
• joke: Creation was made solely for humorous purposes.
• live-action: Creation is live-action, from a .GIF to a feature-length film.

• closed-to-contribution: Creation is not accepting outside contributors.
• completed-creation: Creation is finished. Cannot be used in tandem with canon.
• creator-deleted-creation: Creation was self-deleted by its creator.
• deleted-creation: Creation was deleted.
• incomplete-creation: Creation is currently incomplete.
• legally-removed-creation: Creation was removed for legal reasons.
• locked-creation: Creation is locked from changes.
• lost-creation: Creation is considered lost media.
• mass-edit-purged-creation: Creation was removed during the Mass Edit.
• ongoing-creation: Creation is currently ongoing.
• on-hiatus-creation: Creation is on temporary or indefinite hiatus.
• open-to-contribution: Creation is open to outside contributors.
• rewritten-creation: Creation was rewritten.
• staff-deleted-creation: Creation was deleted by community staff.
• staff-protected-creation: Creation is indefinitely protected from malicious actors by community staff.
• unfinished-creation: Creation is temporarily or indefinitely infinished.

• abandoned-community: Community is no longer active and/or maintained.
• active-community: Community is active.
• defunct-community: Community is defunct.
• private-community: Community is exclusive to members, those invited, donators, and/or customers.
• shuttered-community: Community was shut down.

Creator/Member Status Tags

• active-person: Creator/member is an active person.
• active-team: Creators/members are an active team.
• community-adjacent: Creator is not a member of the community, but has contributed and/or interacted with it in some capacity.
• deceased-person: Creator/member is verifiably deceased. Pages tagged with this should be handled with tact and dignity.
• deleted-accounts: Creator(s)/member(s) have deleted some or all of their community-tied accounts.
• disbanded-team: Creators/members are a disbanded team.
• do-not-contact: Former creator/member should not and/or does not want to be contacted in any capacity.
• harmful: Creator/member/team has been deemed to be an active danger to the safety of others, and is to be handled on Metawiki in accordance with ou Harmful Ex-Creators approach.
• inactive-person: Creator/member is an inactive person.
• inactive-team: Creators/members are an inactive team.
• removed-person: Creator/member is a person who was voluntarily or involuntarily removed from a community.
• removed-team: Creators/members are a team who were voluntarily or involuntarily removed from a community.
• renamed-accounts: Creator/member/team has renamed their account handles.
• retired-person: Creator/member is a person considered "retired" from the community.
• status-unknown: Creator/member/team's status is currently unknown.

Language Quality Tags

• has-faithful-translation: At least one translation is as faithful as possible while still being comprehensible.
• has-issues-with-translation: At least one translation has problems with spelling, punctuation, and/or grammar that harms comprehensibility.
• has-literal-translation: At least one translation is word-for-word literal.
• has-localization: At least one translation is localized to make things more relatabl while still conveying the same themes, vibes, emotions, etc.
• translation-difficult: At least one translation would be difficult to pull off.
• translation-improbable: At least one translation would be nigh-impossible to pull off.

Language Status Tags

• translated: Creation is translated into at least one other language besides its origin.
• untranslated: Creation hasn't been, can't be, and/or won't be translated.

Research Tags

• context-cultural: Covers cultural contexts of a topic(s).
• context-historical: Covers historical contexts of a topic(s).
• controversy: Covers a controversy within SCP/WL community.
• creative-data: Covers statistical data in regards to the body of a creative work.
• critique: Covers constructive criticism of a topic(s).
• event: Covers an out-of-universe event.
• identity: Covers readings of a topic(s) concerning sexual, gender, mental, cultural, and other identities.
• inspiration: Covers a piece of media that inspired an aspect(s) of the wider SCP/WL community and/or its individual creations.
• inspired-by: Covers a piece of media inspired by the wider SCP/WL community and its creations.
• memes: Covers a meme, in-joke, and/or other viral piece of media within the wider SCP/WL community.
• numerical-data: Covers statistical data in regards to the metrics of a creative work, community, etc.
